That Turkish and Mexicans are way too similar to Turkish people
2. Turkish nearly don't really visit mexico at all...
3. Yucatan beach regions are definitely not mexico
4. A metro system changes a lot in city traffic
5. Mexico has way too many inefficiencies including way too much guards from different places that government funds for security. But this is not really needed. This is mainly giving up of tax money on workers who don't do enough work to deserve it. I am sorry to say this, but i learned capitalism is better because of the human nature.
6. In the eyes of mexicans white people are cool and attractive. In the eyes of people they feel subconsciously under them. What we see in ourselves is what we are.. And any person with self respect should simply laugh to that kind of stupid self conscious. Unless we are able to break stupid coolness thoughts injected by our culture we are bound to be what we feel like what they want us to feel like and stay as the slaves of imperialism. Imperialism is dead in the minds of people at least in terms of independence. Yet cultural and status imperialism is the real threat in the minds of people right now.
7. We are nothing less than nobody.
8. Mexican cuisine, which i will definitely work hard on when I go back to Turkey
9. A piece of ass on the screen bounds people that have a lot of time to in front of the screen for waste everywhere in the world independent of culture.
10. Travelling is really learning.
11. Even though we believe in the same god just because of the differences that would not change your love of god and your belief people made soo much stupid wars and forced legions of others simply to kill each other. And the way I have seen from a few missionaries in Guadalajara was simply the simplest truth about this, the guys had nothing to be able discuss with me other than think and you will understand. They are not even sure about what they understand and they are trying to make me understand that.

From Now on I won't say I haven't
1. Bribed a mexican police officer.
2. Drunk sud marino
3. Gone out in Mexico city dangerously at night
4. Been to the most untouristy places of Mexico City
5. Kissed a Mexicana
6. Walked out like a delikanli from a kaypak mexican bar
7. Haven't been to a gay bar (only for observation, with Mexican girls (just making sure =))
8. Tasted Ceviche
9. Spoken spanish fluently
10. Danced salsa like crazy in Mexico....

What would I have done differently if I were there the same way again?
1. I would have spent one full day with the people in demonstrations in front of the museum. Those camping guys camp there for months in order to have their voices heard by the corrupt politicians. I would have listened to how they feel about Mexico, what their problems are, and what similarities these have with Turkey... Actually this is one serious mistake that I haven't really done this, but i will do this for other countries. Listening is the most important leadership skill and listening to them is definitely an additional eye opener, I won't miss that chance again.

2. I would have spent one more night in Tulum and spent it in Cabinas near the beach.

What wouldn't I have done?
1. I wouldn't have stayed in Weary Traveller hostel in Tulum ( It is the worst hostel I have ever seen in my life, even budget travellers deserve basic primal rights like shower and a bed better than a wood piece with a sponge )

2. I wouldn't go to cozumel and spend some other nights in other cities in Mexico.

3. I would have seen Palenque ruins first and agua azul later.

What is the best?
1. Mexico City
2. Guadalajara
3. Palenque
4. San Cristobal Las Casas
5. Zihuatanejo
6. Tulum

<-Previous                                                                        Next->
